How Do I Use Linktree For My Instagram Account?

How Do I Use Linktree For My Instagram Account?

How Do I use LinkTree for Instagram?

I just discovered this new site that allows you to connect your Instagram to it for FREE. (as of this writing)
It’s called Linktree. www.linktr.ee

I’m sure you are asking, :What is Linktree?” And that’s a very good question.
It’s a site that provides you options to link many pages to your Instagram account via a unique URL.
You load up multiple links in Linktree and then use their unique link to post on your Instagram account.
FINALLY, a way to list more than one link in yor Instagram profile! And perhaps you can stop changing the linkin your bio, every other day!

Here’s what ours looks like:

Hey why not FOLLOW US ON INSTAGRAM too.

Let me give you a little instructions below:
While you are signed into Instagram on your phone or computer go to: www.linktr.ee
Connect your Instagram account.
You will be led to a page like the one below, to “add buttons, titles and links”
Click settings and choose your template and color scheme

This is so easy, everyone can do it! And like I’ve already said, it’s FREE as of this writing.

FYI, there is also a Pro Version in Beta right now for only $6 per month, if you want to benefit from more features.

I’ve decided to keep my links at a total of 5, basically because it displays very nicely on my smart phone. But you could probably list more, INSTAGRAM
just haven’t tried that yet.

You might also be asking, what Should You List in Linktr.ee?
Here’s just a few ideas. Be as creative as you want.
– Link to your Blog
– Link to your FREEBIE
– A training YouTube Video
– Link to a FB Post
– Link to your Twitter Account
– Link to your LinkedIn Profile or Page
– Link to your FB Business Page or Group
– Link to your Shopify or other online store
– Link to a research questionnaire using Survey Monkey
– Link to your Customer Service Team or closed FB group
– Link to your special monthly discounts

See, the possibilities are really endless. You can now expand your Instagram reach, info and offers with just one link with www.linktr.ee

Do leave comments and let us know if you tried it, and what your results were. I’ve just begun using it, so I’ll keep you posted too.

7 Tips for Home Based Entrepreneurs

Mоdеrn аdvаnсеѕ іn technology have сrеаtеd a nеw breed оf еmрlоуее – thе home-based worker. Aѕ thе name suggests, they wоrk from thе соmfоrtѕ оf thеіr оwn home more often thаn not аѕ frееlаnсеrѕ. Nеw they may bе but thеу also fасе a few сhаllеngеѕ of thеіr own – ѕоmе unique, others аll too fаmіlіаr. This ѕесtіоn іѕ dеdісаtеd tо tips оn hоw to іmрrоvе рrоduсtіvіtу аt home оffісеѕ.

1) Invest іn ѕоund аnd reliable tесhnоlоgу.
Wоrkіng frоm home mеаnѕ lеѕѕ іn-реrѕоn mееtіngѕ fоr you. Stіll, thе іmроrtаnсе оf such mееtіngѕ іѕ рrеѕеnt. As ѕuсh, mоѕt оf your wоrk is соnduсtеd оvеr the phone and/or оnlіnе. Invеѕtіng іn the bеѕt tесhnоlоgу money саn buy іѕ a gооd іdеа thеn. Sоmе printers саn nоw double as a photocopy аnd еvеn a fax machine so do lооk іntо those. It mау соѕt more but it will give off bеttеr bеnеfіtѕ in thе lоng run. Sіmрlе ѕеrvісеѕ ѕuсh аѕ voice mail аnd саll waiting аrе a hugе hеlр as well.

2) Buddy uр аnd сhесk оn each оthеr.
Sоmе реорlе juѕt do nоt hаvе еnоugh ѕеlf-dіѕсірlіnе tо keep thеm wоrkіng. If уоu аrе lіkе that, уоu аrе better off gеttіng a work buddу tо сhесk on уоu frоm tіmе to time. Ideally, this ѕhоuld bе someone who tracks уоur рrоgrеѕѕ аnd gіvеѕ ѕuggеѕtіоnѕ on hоw to improve уоur рrоduсtіvіtу. Cоllаbоrаtе with a frіеnd оnlіnе аnd hеlр еасh оthеr оut. Essentially, уоu are аѕkіng hіm or hеr to асt like уоur bоѕѕ. Aѕ much аѕ роѕѕіblе, аѕk help from someone whо wоrkѕ from home аѕ wеll.
3) Focus but nоt on ѕосіаl nеtwоrkіng ѕіtеѕ.
In hоmе оffісеѕ whеrе іntеrnеt access іѕ vіrtuаllу unrеѕtrісtеd, dіѕtrасtіоn frоm ѕuсh ѕіtеѕ аѕ Fасеbооk and Twіttеr is аll tоо common. Whеn nоt needed, іt іѕ bеѕt to disconnect from your rоutеr оr broadband connection. Crеаtіvе tasks ѕuсh аѕ dеѕіgnіng аnd writing wіll benefit grеаtlу frоm thіѕ. You will be amazed аt hоw much time уоu саn rесоvеr when you ѕtаrt focusing оn thе work аt hand. Once уоu are done, уоu wіll hаvе all thе tіmе уоu wаnt tо ѕtаrt chatting аnd brоwѕіng thе іntеrnеt оnсе аgаіn. Fоr now, уоu hаvе to focus.

4) Track your рrоgrеѕѕ.
Wіth no boss around, іt іѕ up tо уоu tо сhесk оn уоur оwn рrоgrеѕѕ. Check the асtuаl wоrk уоu hаvе dоnе аgаіnѕt the current tіmе. Dіd you take longer оr fаѕtеr thаn you еxресtеd? Thіѕ ѕhоuld gіvе уоu a good idea іf уоu аrе bеіng рrоduсtіvе оr nоt. You саn trасk уоur progress mаnuаllу оr with help frоm software саllеd RеѕсuеTіmе. Thіѕ is an оnlіnе tіmе-trасkіng ѕоftwаrе which tеllѕ іtѕ uѕеr hоw hе оr ѕhе ѕреndѕ hіѕ оr hеr time оn thе computer. It rеаllу helps tіmе уоur tаѕkѕ so соnѕіdеr іt as аn іnvеѕtmеnt for increased рrоduсtіvіtу and better оutрut.

5) Set-up a hоmе office оr a ѕераrаtе ѕрасе fоr wоrk.
Working out of уоur bеdrооm оr іn frоnt of thе TV іѕ no gооd especially іf уоu wаnt tо bе рrоduсtіvе. Aѕ ѕuсh, you wаnt tо dеvоtе a separate space for work tо mаkе a distinction bеtwееn wоrk аnd рlау. As much as possible, fіnd a quiet ѕрасе in your hоmе whеrе thеrе will not bе ѕо muсh dіѕtrасtіоn. Gеt аll thе hаrdwаrе уоu need and рut it іn оnе соnvеnіеnt place fоr quick аnd еаѕу access. Having a hоmе office іѕ bеѕt but аnу ѕроt whеrе you саn wоrk ԛuіеtlу is gооd еnоugh.
6) Sеt-uр a hоmе office or a separate ѕрасе fоr wоrk.
Wоrkіng оut оf уоur bedroom оr іn frоnt of thе TV is nо gооd especially іf уоu wаnt tо bе рrоduсtіvе. As ѕuсh, you wаnt tо devote a ѕераrаtе space for wоrk tо mаkе a dіѕtіnсtіоn between wоrk and play. As muсh аѕ possible, find a ԛuіеt ѕрасе іn уоur hоmе whеrе there wіll not bе ѕо much dіѕtrасtіоn. Gеt аll thе hаrdwаrе уоu nееd аnd рut іt іn оnе соnvеnіеnt place fоr ԛuісk аnd еаѕу access. Hаvіng a hоmе оffісе іѕ bеѕt but аnу spot whеrе you саn wоrk quietly іѕ good еnоugh.

7) Outѕоurсе ѕоmе оf the wоrk.
Buѕіnеѕѕ owners whо find іt dіffісult tо fіt еvеrуthіng needed into an аlrеаdу hectic ѕсhеdulе. Mоѕt buѕіnеѕѕ реорlе mаkе thе mіѕtаkе оf thіnkіng thеу can dо ѕоmеthіng thеmѕеlvеѕ to cut costs. On thе оthеr hand, the tіmе wasted іѕ really nоt wоrth іt. With thіѕ іn mіnd, уоu аrе bеttеr оff hіrіng a mеѕѕеngеr, vіrtuаl аѕѕіѕtаnt, bооkkеереr аnd оthеrѕ tо dо thе jоb fоr уоu. Automate аѕ muсh оf your рrосеѕѕ аѕ possible so уоu dо nоt hаvе to worry much. Thіѕ frees uр уоur mind frоm mundаnе tаѕkѕ ѕо you can have mоrе brilliant ideas.

    What Should I Write About?

    What Should I Write About?

    What Should I Write About?

This is always the first question our clients ask us when we begin working with them to be consistent, add
great content weekly, if not daily, to their blog or website. One of your content goals should be to raise
the engagement factor and create relationships with your fans, followers and website visitors. Here’s just a few ideas
you may want to incorporate into your daily writing routine.

[Tweet “5 quick easy things to write about by@innsocialmarket”]

    1) Write about your Niche or Industry. Your experiences and your take always.
Everyone has life experiences good and bad…so write about them. If you’ve held the job
for a period of time, then you could easily create a series of articles, and turn it into
an eBook or Kindle book. Plan out your chapters and make it an autobiography journey through
the years and tell about how you grew into each role you’ve held.

    2) For travel writers, this one is easy. Take a trip, planned or spontaneous and journal your time away.
Tell all about where, when, why and how you ended up going to your destination. Bring your readers closer
to the local flavor of your destination and if you’ve learned any secrets, that would help others enjoy this experience,
then make them available in your article or book. Travel writing or blogging is fun and fulfilling.

    3) Write about your hobbies. People love to learn more about different hobbies that others enjoy and learn why
and what the benefits are to picking up a new hobby. Share your knowledge, what you’ve learned to do well,
and also share some of the mistakes you may have made when you first started the hobby. If you’ve been able
to also make money with your hobbies, be sure to give your readers some information and ideas on how it may
    also work for them.

    4) Write about your biggest regret in your life. Some people will be drawn to these stories about what if……
Did you not accept a job that you maybe should have and you regret that decision. Did you decide not to get married, or
not to have children, or move to a city. Tell your story and go on a deep level as to why and where you are
today because of your decision. By writing about the #1 biggest regret, you may find potential future ideas
to reinvent yourself at the same time.

    5) Interview business associates and compile their advice into a book for up and coming entrepreneurs.
You could also have your pod cast interviews transcribed to become your book. Interview these experts and
gleam their insight, knowledge and skills to share with your audience in your new book.

There are so many things you can write about, this is a very short list and meant to just give you a glimpse
    into blogging and writing.

Our company, Inn Social Marketing can always help you create a social media marketing campaign to promote your
book and we’d love to chat with you about it. You can get in touch with us by calling: 609-375-8111 or emailing us @

The 5 strategies to get you focused or re-focused on Social Media

The 5 strategies to get you focused or re-focused on Social Media

The 5 strategies to get you focused or re-focused on Social Media

Almost all business owners know that Social Media is here to stay, right? And it’s becoming more important for all businesses to participate and market their products and services via Social Media. To get ahead of your competitors and to validate your business you MUST have an online presence.

[Tweet “Learn the 5 Strategies To Get You Focused On Social Media”]

    1) Create Content for mobile devices and specific platforms. This means that you need to be aware of your content for all devices your audience is using. Example, if you are posting a video, be sure it loads quickly, is sized properly and that the page actually displays  properly on mobile phones and tablets. Be certain you have a mobile responsive website and always adjust the size of your images to fit mobile devices.

    2) Concentrate on Engagement When it comes to Social Media. Try to entertain your customers, be informative, and not “salesy.” Remember, people don’t want to be sold, they want to be entertained. Think about what your customers would care about and create your content with that in mind. Ask questions, encourage sharing of your content and request likes, and follows.

    3) Consider having multiple accounts that take a “deeper dive” into your specialty. Sometimes it’s just too hard to be general say in the  sports arena. You may gain more traction if you had multiple accounts for Basketball, Baseball, Soccer etc. I know, it’s a little harder to manage multiple accounts, but you will soon see the benefits of selecting specific accounts that are specialized.

    4) Make sure you stay consistent with your brand on all Social Media channels. Your colors, profile photo, images, and your branding in general must be  recognizable to your customers and potential clients. This is often where entrepreneurs and small businesses fail at first and getting this one step right will help you gain interested followers.

    5) Don’t be afraid to try new things. Don’t let your social media get stale. Create some test accounts and try a new approach or get into a new interested or niche. If after a while you find something is not working, just retire that idea and move on. But if you create more “buzz” from your followers with a new idea, service, or product, then you and your customers have a Win-Win!

How to build trust quickly when you attend networking events

How to build trust quickly when you attend networking events

How do you build trust quickly when you attend Networking Events?

It’s simply easier to do this in person! I know we all work virtual these days, but trust is built more easily
face to face. The whole process of building trust is just quicker. I know, I know, there’s Google Hangouts, Skype and many other video chat programs you can utilize online, but I’m going to give you some “in person” networking tips today.

    1) When you attend a networking event, have a specific goal in mind. What is your objective for that particular meeting or event?

    2) Be open and introduce yourself and start conversations. It’s great to have your 15 second bio ready to describe what you do.

    3) Be attentive and ask questions. How is business going? What struggles are at the top of their lists?

    4) Be interested and interesting. Make eye contact and don’t be distracted when you are in conversation with someone.

    5) Have your answers ready when you are asked questions about your work, your clients and your reasons for attending the event or meeting.

    6) Don’t stay in one spot, move around the room and make contact with as many attendees as possible.

    7) Be sure to follow up with individuals you had met and remember to keep in touch after the meeting via phone and email.

When the event ends, it’s never the end. Great business relationships are built in the follow up and continued engagement. Usually, it’s even faster to close new business in person.

So, if you are needing more clients, guests, customers and business partners, I recommend looking into the local Meet Up groups (www.meetup.com)in your immediate area and start networking!

    1) Know what makes up your Ideal Guest. Actually write down all the characteristics of your ideal guest.

    2) Create a thorough (add something to each section)LinkedIn Profile and Business Page to highlight your establishment. Always speak in the first person.

    3) Identify your top 3 Keywords and use them in your profile, headline, and description.

    4) Add your Slideshare presentations to your LinkedIn Profile.

    5) Join relevant groups and offer advice, answer questions, make announcements that will be noticed by your ideal guest.

that you are active on the network.

    8) Monitor your home feed daily, and respond, comment etc. and be relevant by adding rich media to your posts. i.e. videos, photos, interesting info from your immediate area. i.e. Festivals, Street Fairs, concerts, plays etc.

    9) Monitor your results and know which groups, connections, and visitors are your best promoters.

Ask Yourself, Are My Social Media Profiles Set Up Properly?

Ask Yourself, Are My Social Media Profiles Set Up Properly?

Ask Yourself, Are My Social Media Profiles Set Up Properly?

Maybe it’s time to take another look at your profile content on the mail social media channels you use for your business.

    WHICH NETWORKS ARE FOR ME?
Make sure you are utilizing the 3 or 4 main channels where most of your potential clients, guests frequent.
Be certain to have a Facebook presnece, and then choose 2 of the other big ones, LinkedIn, Google+, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Slideshare or You Tube.
It’s impossible to think that you can be on all these and do a good job engaging with followers comments and responding to questions. That’s why we recommend starting out with just 3 or 4. You won’t get overwhelmed and you will reach more people in your target market. If you are a professional coach, then you definitely need to have a presence on LinkedIn and Facebook and perhaps Google+. If you have an online fashion store, then Instagram and Pinterest make great choices, as they are mostly photo driven social media sites.
    YOUR PROFILE NAME
When you are setting up your profiles, try to get the same name for each one. It will be easier for you to remember if they are similar and it will also be easier for friends, and followers to find you an all the channels you are using for your business.
    YOUR AVATAR
An avatar, is the way that people will recognize you in their feeds, so please don’t have a different avatar on each social media! Keep them common across all the sites you are using. This way people will get used to seeing that beautiful face and remember who you are. Generally,  it is best to have a real photo of you for your avatar. And never leave your avatar blank.
    DESCRIPTION
Use a similar description on each social media network to keep your profiles in line with each other. Use Keywords, and make the most out of the space allowed per channel by describing what you do and why they would want to follow you. Alway include a link to your website that they can visit to learn more.

5 Fantastic Facebook Post Types That Increase Engagement
    1) Questions – Ask your tribe questions and seek engagement with your fans.
This is probably one of the easiest methods to get responses, dialogue and comments.
You can post a status update with a photo and end it with a question to engage your followers. Just think,
if you did not ask a question, they may read your post and move on.
    Example here from Inc. Magazine.

    2) Fill in the blanks posts also spark engagement. The blanks act like creative avenues
for people to be creative. These type posts are fun and make interaction fun, interesting and definitely worth while.
    Example from Fancy Feast.

Why You Need a Social Media Calendar

Why You Need a Social Media Calendar

Why you should have a Social Media Calendar.

It’s even more important to know what to include on your social media calendar. By keeping a social media calendar and including these specifics, you will be able to keep your channel active and you will keep your content organized and up to date. Here are our tips for structuring your Social Media Calendar.

    1) Be Active and post on a regular basis. Keep your blog updated and write your posts, once or twice a week. Posts may be written and scheduled for posting in advance right on your WordPress site. You want to be “top of mind” to your followers and keep your presence in their in boxes. We suggest emailing your list each time you post a new blog and direct them back to your site post. This encourages more followers, more engagement and more participation with your list.

    2) Keeping a calendar helps you build a better Social Media strategy. You’ll be able to have an idea of what kinds of posts engage more interaction. You’ll be able to plan for future content based on past behavior from your followers.

    3) Mix up your type of posts. It’s even possible to bring back some of your past dated posts and make them current by updating them. Always include images in your posts, and try Top 10 list posts, survey’s, How to posts, and more to be diverse and interesting to your audience.

4)Gain better control and management of your Social Media channels If you have multiple social media channels, keeping all your accounts updated is important with regular posts to all networks. A calendar helps you plan, post and keep all networks current, active and scheduled.

    5) Time Restraints and Controls Keeping a current Social Media calendar will save you time. It could become a weekly task instead of a daily one and save you hours of time.

    6) Tack your performance and analyze By keeping a SM calendar you’ll be able to see what days, times, type of posts you get better engagement on with your “tribe.” You’ll know what types of content to continue creating for utmost interaction.

Wrap Up The more channels you have the more organized you will be when you use a Social Media calendar. You’ll become more proficient posting regularly and you’ll save time and not feel so overwhelmed by Social Media. Checking your stats will also give you a better perspective of your followers preferences.

4 Quick Tips to Drive More Social Media Engagement

4 Quick Tips to Drive More Social Media Engagement

4 Quick Tips to drive more social media engagement.

The internet today is primarily a visual medium, much different that it was years ago when the sites were filled with just blocks of text. The other thing is, technology has evolved so, that online visitors expect to see more visual posts.

Videos and images are now the dominating force behind successful content engatement, comprehension, and effectiveness. It’s important – The Right Social Media Mindset

It’s important – The Right Social Media Mindset

It’s important – The Right Social Media Mindset As a business owner, there is just no reason why you should not be using Social Media to take advantage of the marketing power social media offers. There are millions and millions of people on many social media sites daily. Did you know that if Facebook were it’s own country, it would be the third most populated country in the World? This shows you just how HUGE social media is and why you should be leveraging Social Media for your Business.

What this means to your business is that there’s a congregation of potential customers just browsing these Social Media sites in their idle hours. They may get bored and have nothing else to do that is important. They are just browsing. This is a perfect opportunity for your business to be noticed, and possibly gain a new customer or guest. Thousands of companies have used Social Media in this way and have found success.

[Tweet “The Right Social Media Midset – It’s Important”]

To tackle the Social Media market, you’ll have an easier time of it if you approach it with the proper attitude. While both online and offline businesses will use social media as a way to engage the customer, the online business deals with social media the way that an offline business would have television ads. It’s a straight way to the sale, since a customer visiting an online business’ site is doing the closest thing to physically visiting the business itself.

If you have an offline business, this is not the case, as the customer is ostensibly at a computer and not at your physical place of business while browsing social networking sites. It’s important to consider this difference and use it to take a different approach to advertising your offline business using social media. While an online business is bringing customers to the storefront, you should be looking to create an impression of your business and try to entice them to come to the physical store. While it is definitely advantageous to consider making an online version of your site for ease of purchasing, you want to have the customer come to your physical store.

This means creating awareness of your products, brand, content, and expertise – and creating that drive to experience the whole package by going to your store.

While it’s likely that the most profitable way for offline business to generate customers in terms of long-term revenue is still offline, the virtual market is taking off fast, and it’s likely that the current state of affairs will change over the next five years. Now is a good time to get involved with marketing through social media and figuring out how it can best serve your offline business before it takes off to a whole new level.

Useful Google+ Tips For Your Business

Useful Google+ Tips For Your Business

Useful Google+ Tips for Your Business

Everybody knows Google, right?  Well, we expect that some announcements will come in 2016 about the Social Media Channel Google+ that they started a few years ago.  Don’t know, or even want to predict what they will be.  What we do know, is that some folks have stated that Google+ was a lost cause and that just isn’t the case.  Until we know any different, we’ll continue to use Google+ to connect with prospective customers and make online networking friends.

Here are a few Google+ Marketing tips you may want to consider utilizing for your business:

    2) Grow Your Google+ network by commenting and engaging. This is how you build your reputation, and show your skills and expert in your field status.  Everyone wants to build their Google+ connections and we believe this is the smartest way to do just that. Next join Communities and be active members.[Tweet “Great Google+ tips”]

Don’t get overwhelmed trying to keep their Google+ stream filled with fresh content in the hopes +1’s, re-shares and new, commenting will attract connections.

Also, start engaging in addition to commenting. Always, add valuable comments to the public posts. Join and engage in the community discussions. Attend and participate in the Hangouts on Air.

Here’s a quick scheduling tip to make this process a little easier.  When you use the Chrome browser add the DoShare plugin.  It’s free and allows you to share content at the time you find valuable info online.  When you see something your Google+ audience can use and you want to share, just click the DoShare plugin and viola…it’s been added to your queue to be shared!  Curated content is just as valuable to your community as your own content.

    2)  Close Off Comments. After there has been a good amount of interaction on a comment thread, simply close off allowing comments.  You will receive notifications when anyone comments, and you can reply, respond and add to the conversation.  But when you feel the interaction is at an end, just add one final comment and close them off.

It’s easy to close them off, simply click on the upper right of one of your posts and choose ‘disable comments’.

    3)  Pay attention to your Image Size and the look of your Page or Profile content.

The ideal size for a Google+ image post is a maximum width of 426px with a length of 213px or 319px.  This size will give you a visually appealing picture post, which will be plussed, shared and hopefully, induce comments and conversation.

Creating attractive, appealing images isn’t hard at all.  Use an online program such as, Canva, or PicMonkey or Buffer Pablo to create the proper sized image.  These three are FREE and you don’t need to know Photoshop to create great graphics.

    4)  This tip actually goes for all Social Media venues.  The sizes are slightly different, and you need to pay attention to this when posting.

    • Mix up your Post Content. Here’s just a few ideas of what’s best to post on Google+ for success and maximum sharing:
    • Charts and Infographics
    • Inspirational and Business Quotes
    • List Information posts
    • GIF’s and Memes
    • Tip Posts
    • Ask Questions and Take Polls

Google+ marketing enables you to display your knowledge in your niche, show people how you stand out and build your reputation.  Remember the 80-20 rule, offer valuable info and only promote your business or offer 20% of the time. Join in the conversation, have fun and go get those Google+ pluses!
